How did Andrew and Tim connect and start working together?

Prior to LB-West, Tim was the lead developer of the Whole Foods anchored Willits Town Center in Basalt on behalf of a private equity firm in Kansas City, and Andrew was in luxury residential development and led a brokerage firm rollup that became the largest property broker in the Aspen area, Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty, with $3 billion in annual sales. When the private equity firm was divesting of its remaining development sites in Willits, Tim and Andrew recognized the fit of their skills of construction management, and access to private capital.

What are LB-West’s sources of funds?

For LB-West projects to date the equity capital has been from high net worth individuals and family offices. Construction and permanent debt financing has been from banks including First Bank, ANB Bank, Alpine Bank, and Bank of Colorado. Both Andrew and Tim have experience with institutional equity sources as well

Does LB-West focus on specific property types?

LB-West’s projects to date have included multifamily for rent, affordable housing, for-sale luxury
residential, office, and retail. Tim and Andrew have experience with other property types but the ones listed are our focus.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Both of us are active in community affairs. Andrew coaches youth lacrosse and was a founder of the Aspen chapter of YPO (Young Professional Organization). Tim has been on the board of Valley View Hospital and Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club. We also both enjoy spending time with our wives and biking and floating on local rivers.
